Same-week appointments: No waiting lists at our clinics in Cambridge, Bishops Stortford and Ware
BMS-accredited specialists: Both doctors are BMS-accredited menopause specialists with over 15 years of experience in perimenopause and menopause care
Full range of body-identical hormones: Access to body-identical hormones and testosterone therapy including treatments not routinely available on the NHS
Longer appointments: so your symptoms and concerns are properly heard
Online or in-person consultations - flexible to suit you
Flexible prescribing: We can prescribe privately or work alongside your existing NHS GP
Androfeme® Testosterone for Women
Testosterone is increasingly recognised as an important hormone during perimenopause and menopause, helping with low libido, fatigue, brain fog and low mood, yet it is rarely prescribed on the NHS.
We are one of the few private HRT clinics prescribing Androfeme® testosterone cream, a product specifically formulated for women. A baseline blood test and regular monitoring is required, which we can arrange.
Androfeme® 1% testosterone cream (50g, lasts approximately 3 months): £90–£100
Available on private prescription only.
How Our Private HRT Prescribing Works
We believe in choice and flexibility. Here's what to expect:
Step 1: Initial consultation (online or in person)
We discuss your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle and treatment options in detail. If clinically appropriate, we issue a private prescription at the end of your appointment at no additional charge.
Step 2: Take your prescription to any pharmacy
We provide a written prescription you can use at any local pharmacy, or we can arrange delivery from a specialist pharmacy directly to your door.
Step 3: Ongoing repeat prescriptions
For established patients, we offer repeat prescriptions every 3 months for a £40 administration fee, with an annual review appointment recommended to ensure your treatment continues to meet your needs.
All prescribing follows the latest British Menopause Society (BMS) and NICE guidelines to ensure your treatment is safe, effective and evidence-based.

Yes. Many women come to us after being unable to access HRT through their NHS GP, or after being prescribed a limited range of options. As BMS-accredited specialists, we can prescribe the full range of body-identical hormones, including testosterone therapy, and can do so at your very first appointment if clinically appropriate. We can assess your symptoms, discuss your options and issue a private HRT prescription at the end of your first consultation if clinically appropriate. We are also happy to work alongside your existing NHS GP if you prefer to keep them informed of your treatment.
-
Body-identical HRT uses hormones that are chemically identical to those produced naturally by your body. They are derived from plant sources and are available in a range of forms including gels, patches, sprays and capsules. Body-identical hormones are considered by many specialists to have a more favourable safety profile than older synthetic HRT preparations.
